About Helena Konanz

Helena was elected as the Member of Parliament for Similkameen–South Okanagan–West Kootenay in 2025. Prior to her election, Helena served as a Penticton City Councillor and a board member for the Regional District Okanagan Similkameen for 10 years.

Helena and Adam, her husband of more than 30 years, are the proud parents of two children, Zakary and Zoe. They owned and operated several small businesses in the Okanagan. Helena has also worked for global companies like Nike. She is a former world ranked professional tennis player and coach and has won 7 National Canadian Masters tennis championships.

She has a master’s degree in 2018 in Urban Studies and Political Science from UBC Okanagan and undergraduate degree from UCLA.

As an elected official, she focused on smaller government, cutting red tape, promoting small business and growing the local economy.

Recognizing the challenges of local governments, Helena is using her experience, in Ottawa, to fight for a responsible budget for Canadian taxpayers, for affordable options for young families and for better access to services for people in rural and smaller communities.

As your Conservative MP, Helena is determined to ensure that every person can experience the promise of a great life in Canada.
